Marketing is essential to the growth of any business, and photography is no exception. It doesn’t matter if you’re the greatest photographer in the world – if you don’t market yourself, no-one will know you’re there and no-one will buy your product. Simple really.
This year I’ll be ramping up my marketing efforts, and one channel I’m experimenting with at the moment is YouTube. I’ve put together a short promo video and uploaded it to see how many views it generates, whether people click through to my site, and ultimately whether it generates any sales. I’ll report any findings here.
