When you’re asked to photograph a wedding in a beautiful location that just happens to be a hop, skip and jump from where you live, how can you resist?

Jayne and Martin contacted me last year to see if I’d like to photograph their wedding at The Boathouse in Danson Park, and of course I jumped at the chance. Since moving to Bexleyheath last year my other half Bea and I have visited Danson Park on many occasions. It’s a gorgeous location, and on a summer’s day there are few nicer ways to spend your time than walking round the park and lake. There also happens to be a pub there too, but of course that doesn’t interest me at all *ahem*.

On the day itself the park didn’t disappoint. Resplendent in colour and bathed in summer sun, it looked magnificent. Jayne looked stunning too as she walked down the aisle to be wed to Martin, and there haven’t been many weddings I’ve experienced that were so laid back and filled with laughter, joy and a totally relaxed vibe.

I’d like to thank all of Jayne and Martin’s friends and family for making me feel welcome. I’d also like to thank them both for a thoroughly enjoyable wedding that ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish, and I wish you both a lifetime of wedding bliss!
