Sidcup Manor House Bexley Wedding Photography
Merrion & Sam
Here’s a short list of things I love:
- Weddings
- Photographing weddings
- Photographing weddings that are just down the road from me
- Photographing weddings that are just down the road from me, where the bride shares my undying and quite frankly unreasonable love of cake!
So when Merrion and Sam asked me to photograph their wedding at the Bexley Register Office at Sidcup Manor House, I was thrilled – when Merrion initially emailed me asking if I was available, she promised to give me some cake if I went over to chat about her and Sam’s big day. Taking the bullet list above into account, I was halfway out the door when her email arrived in my inbox…
There really are some lovely wedding venues in Kent, and Sidcup Manor house is tucked away off a main road. It’s a Grade II listed building and is a fabulous venue for any special day. It was touch and go whether the wedding party would arrive on time (there was a slight mix-up with the taxi company i.e. they didn’t turn up), but everything worked out wonderfully in the end.
After the ceremony it was back to East Dulwich once again! Every time I return there I become nostalgic for the years I lived in this wonderful place, and then take a quick look in an estate agent’s window at the latest house prices, before breaking out in a sweat, making my excuses and leaving. So it was fantastic to be back on my old stomping ground once more, and the East Dulwich Tavern surpassed themselves once again.
I’d like to thank all of Merrion and Sam’s wonderful family for making me feel especially welcome, and most of all I’d like to thank Merrion and Sam themselves for just being lovely. Here’s to many, many years of wedded bliss – cheers!
Thanks!
